Reports to:

Full Time / Part Time

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree
  • Licensed in the state of Washington
  • Two years of clinical experience
  • Crisis intervention experience
  • Experience providing direct service in social services
  • Experience counseling children and families
  • Knowledge of:
    • Sex abuse and sexual assault issues
    • Crime victims and violent crime issues
    • Child development and family systems
    • Cultural and racial diversity
  • Available for limited evening and weekend assignments
  • Reliable transportation, including required auto insurance; position requires occasional travel within Kitsap County
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License

Required Capabilities

  • Relationship-building skills to create and manage connections with staff, clients and community partners.
  • Communication skills to engage with both professionalism and compassion
  • Discretion to maintain confidentiality of medical and personal data

Additional Requirements

  • Selected applicant will be required to:
    • Attend a 30-hour Core Therapy Training.
    • Pass a Washington State Patrol criminal background check
    • Complete 12 hours of continuing education annually
  • Commitment to KSAC mission, vision, and values

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • 4 years experience in:
    • Customer service
    • 10-key
    • Basic bookkeeping

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group and family therapy, including intake/ assessments and emergent services, responding to child and adult victims of sex abuse and their non-offending family members
  • Provide culturally sensitive direct services for victims of violent crimes or domestic violence
  • Conduct training in sexual abuse, identification, disclosure, referral and treatment to school systems and other service providers
  • Develop guidelines for delivering culturally sensitive services to a specified population
  • Coordinate with crisis staff and referring agencies for the purpose of case management
  • Attend staff/ consultation/ supervision meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and confidential files and collect data
  • Attend and/or participate in work related training
  • Provide written reports and data collection to Executive Director and Clinical Supervisor
  • Perform crisis line duties
  • Additional duties as assigned
